We are pleased to invite you to NanoLytica 2014 taking place at SFU on March 14, 2014.
This free symposium aims to bring together researchers to discuss recent developments and current challenges, and future opportunities at the interface of the analytical sciences and nanotechnology.
Presentations from invited speakers across Western Canada and the USA will discuss:
• new techniques to analyze nanoscale materials
• use of nanoscale materials to develop new analytical techniques
• challenges and needs to expand analytical capabilities in the field of nanotechnology
• importance of this research to life sciences, energy, environment, and other sectors
Speakers will also be discussing their perspective on the challenges and opportunities in the near future for analytical sciences in addressing the needs for nanoscience. Poster presentations will be given by students and other researchers throughout the day.
You can register here: NanoLytica 2014
The events will take place on March 14, 2014 from 7:45 am to 6:30 pm in the SFU Theatre off from Convocation Mall.
Further details can be found here: NanoLytica@SFU
Due to the generous support of our sponsors, PerkinElmer, NSERC, SFU-CHEM, and 4D LABS, there is no cost for attending the event. There will be a very good representation from academia, government, and industry from Western Canada and the USA. The poster session will also be a very good opportunity for students to engage in discussions around their current work and technical challenges. We have plenty of poster boards reserved, so poster presentations from all departments and backgrounds are welcome; the best student poster also takes home an Apple iPad!
